Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry exists to help teenagers know Christ personally, build strong Christian friendships, and discover how their faith speaks into everyday life. At First Baptist Church of Urbana, we take seriously the questions and challenges teens face, and we walk with them through this important season with truth and grace.

Youth Group Meetings provide a regular time for students to gather, laugh, and learn together. A typical gathering includes games or icebreakers, a clear Bible lesson, and honest discussion about how God's Word connects to school, friendships, choices, and the future. Leaders listen, pray, and encourage teens to live boldly for Christ.

Bible Study for Teens goes deeper into Scripture, helping students learn how to read the Bible for themselves. We explore key passages, talk through tough topics, and show how the gospel offers solid answers in a confusing world. Teens are invited to ask questions and wrestle with what they believe in a safe, supportive setting.

Youth Fellowship Events - such as game nights, service projects, or outings - give students a chance to form real friendships with peers who share their values. These times are fun, but they are also purposeful, strengthening the bonds that help teens stand firm in their faith.

Mission Trips and local service opportunities allow our young people to step outside their comfort zones and serve others in Jesus' name. Whether sharing the gospel, helping with practical needs, or supporting other ministries, teens see firsthand that God can use them right now, not just someday in the future.
