Worship Services

Our worship services are the heartbeat of life at First Baptist Church of Urbana, where we gather each Sunday to lift our eyes to the Lord together. Whether you have walked with Christ for years or are just beginning to explore faith, you will find a warm, reverent atmosphere and clear, Bible-centered preaching that points every heart toward Jesus.

Sunday Morning Worship at 11 a.m. brings our whole church family together. We sing time-honored hymns and Christ-focused songs, read Scripture, and listen to a message that applies God's Word to everyday life. You can come as you are, knowing you will be welcomed and encouraged.

On scheduled Sundays, we observe the Communion Service, remembering Christ's sacrifice through the Lord's Supper. We take this time seriously but simply, inviting all believers to quietly examine their hearts, give thanks, and renew their commitment to follow Him. It is a meaningful reminder that we are one body in Christ, joined by His grace.

We also celebrate Baptism Services as a public testimony of new life in Jesus. When someone professes faith in Christ, we gladly gather to witness their baptism, share in their joy, and promise to walk alongside them as a church family. These services are some of our most joyful moments, as we see God at work in real lives.

Our Choir-led Worship adds a special richness to many services. The choir helps lead us in praise, offering songs that prepare our hearts to hear God's Word and respond in faith. The music is Christ-glorifying and congregational, inviting everyone in the room to sing along. Together, these elements create a rhythm of worship that is both deeply rooted in Scripture and full of family-like warmth.
