Rooted In History
Founded in 1869, First Baptist Church of Urbana has a long history of faith and resilience. After rebuilding from a major fire in 1917, the church officially organized in 1937 and has continued to grow ever since. Through the years, it has expanded its facilities and ministries, remaining a strong and welcoming presence in the community.

Meet Our Leadership
Our church is guided by faithful leaders who are committed to serving God and caring for our church family. Rooted in faith and strengthened by community, our leadership works together to support spiritual growth, encourage fellowship, and lead with compassion and integrity.
Associate/Youth Pastor Brad Benedict serves alongside his family with a deep commitment to faith and ministry. Together with his wife Sammy and their daughters, Gracee and Ally, he is dedicated to serving the Lord, caring for the church, and leading others to Christ. We are grateful for the families who faithfully support and strengthen our church through their service and devotion.
